Learning Alliances
The Learning Alliances are collaborative platforms established by the Sierra Leone Urban Research Centre (SLURC) to bridge the gap between research, policy, and community action. They connect academic institutions, practitioners, and informal settlement residents to co-produce knowledge that advances inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban development in Sierra Leone.
Through these alliances, SLURC brings together international universities, local partners, and community-based organisations to jointly design, test, and reflect on practical interventions. Each partnership nurtures mutual learning, supporting transformative urban practice while amplifying the voices and experiences of Freetown’s informal settlement communities.
